Kuching Trip sometime on December / January

Hey 5science1 class of 2005 classmates!

How's everyone doing? :)

I'll go straight to the point.

A few guys and I few months ago came out with a suggestion of going to Kuching sometime at the end of the year to aid our very travel-deprived bodies. AS USUAL, being 5science1 students, the suggestion was simply shrugged off and not mentioned ever again since then.

However, I am planning to initiate the whole travel thing.
Yes, u heard right. Me.

BEFORE U STOP READING this post,
I hope you guys can give me the benefit of a doubt that this plan of mine is really gonna work. Of course it will be even more successful if i actually get some SUPPORT. thx. :) So all you gotta do now is just to read what I gotta say. Thx!

I'm not sure HOW MANY of you actually read this blog anyway but this, I feel this is the best place to put it.

So anyway,
yea. Kuching Trip.

To those ppl who are already giggling away and have their pointers strategically placed at the X button, well screw u. ;)
BECAUSE,

I've already actually surfed through the net for travel guides, accomodations and travelling options.

Yeap. Surprised?

Well, not only that but I've already discussed with Teck Kuan on the prospect of who may be going and how many do we actually need.
I also talked to Chrisanne some time ago regarding the trip and she told me she was keen on going. Well I hope she really is.

So anyway, BRIEFLY, this is how the trip will work.
I've not planned how many days or nights as the amount of people going will affect that very variable. So I need to know the amount first.

I'm actually trying to cut as much costs as possible so I'm afraid we won't be staying in any fancy 5-star hotels so Hilton Kuching is totally out of the picture.
There's a place I found called the Singgahsana Lodge which can be pretty nifty. It's something like a Backpackers Inn and I found out they have 'dormitory rooms' where they charge only RM30 per person I think. Per night.

However, for those who dislike sharing bathrooms or toilets, it may be a problem. But I've seen reviews and all saying how good the service was and how clean the rooms and toilets were so have no fear! (i'm someone who has a phobia for public toilets, mind you)

I'm also gonna ask some newly-this-year-made-frens of mine who currently resides in Kuching to check out the hotel or any possible other alternatives there are to live in for however long we may be there. They are currently NOT ONLINE so i can't do that right now unfortunately. (Diana from SAM has agreed to help me)

So that's ONE way of cutting costs. However, i really don't mind if you guys dont intend to cut costs on accomodations because i know for SOME people, it is the ultimate thing in their lives.. willing to spend 100 or more just to ensure a comfortable sleep or rest. I don't mind actually, I jsut thought people might want a cheaper alternative. :)

So that's how the accomodation will work.
For the 'travelling' part, it's basically gonna be like this.
We will NOT be joining any tour guides which requires u to wake up at bloody 6am in the morning everyday.

So what will we do without a guide?

TRAVEL OURSELVES OF COURSE!
with total freedom!

We will refer to online travel guides, recommendations, brochures of Kuching etc. and travel to wherever we like, however we want, all at our very own times and likings!
No boring unnecessary museums, no 1hr photo-taking time limit at a beautiful beach, no morning calls. How does that sound? ;)

So we will basically be like backpackers, with the benefit of being Msians of course!

Also, a few guys and I have a few frens we made there. We can ask them to bring us around of course! And if we have a BIG LARGE group, we can always seperate according to groups of preference. Cmon. We don't need to stick like bees 24/7 rite??

And (off-topic but), I just have to try the authentic Kuching Kolo Mee.

The conclusion of the entire trip?
A trip with much freedom, affordable costs which we can guarantee our own fun.

Feeling lazy? Let's have a nice chill out at a coffee bean in the streets of Kuching.
Want to experience the Kuching culture? We can always go to the 'living' museum where they have the tribes living there or something.

And Bako National Park looks great. However, it looks costly. O.o

I also would like everyone to know that this is a NOT a 100% planned trip. I doubt more than 5 will follow me in the end but I just wanna inform that no matter who FFKs or whatever, this is a trip which I'm very serious about as I am indeed VERY VERY FREE as I'm having my HOLIDAYS right now and I have nothing in mind so I am gonna plan this properly and throughout.

I hope to go in December of course but i think it's gonna be too rushed for it to be possible. It's already December and there's gonna be Christmas and New Year and all. :/
University intakes are most on February(i've checked) so I thought everyone will be free during January too.

I duno. I just hope my SAM results aren't too bad for me to be too disappointed to travel. Sigh.

SO ANYWAY,
yea. that's it.
I'll be available to be contacted through my handphone, or my MSN.
alexyeo88@hotmail.com. Just PM me if u guys got any enquiries of may be interested to go. Lala.

So who's in with me?
;)

Hey look at the "sexay dawg" -->

Sorry I was bored, so I was clicking here and that just now and found something!!

I clicked on the sw(shockwave) flash on the right, and I found ball, and decided to play with it... Actually the ball bounces, and the dog will try to catch it if you drop the ball on top of it... Eventually I found another thing, the ball can be "thrown" in different directions, cool ^^
By the road(way), you can also feed the dog with bone.

I have a "rabbit" in my blog, actually he is classified as hamster, the actions he do are lesser, only can feed him with strawberry and let he run on the "wheel" ^^
---
hey people, come blog here sometime and don't let it die...
Good Luck to those who are having exams, and those who need it.
Ganbate!

Anyway,
I'll represent those who's taking SAM in TCSJ by saying it's not an easy course at all. -_-
Sooooo many assignments and soooo much work (which all contributes to the final percentage).
The only person who would disagree is probably Vincent who is doing exceptionally well in it.
Reason? The fact that he is such a hardworking person by nature. Zzz.

How is everyone doing?
I'm fine, tx.
