MSSD Basketball ...(some district)
SSC participated.
and got into the finals!!! Wuhoo.
It also means, qualification to the next stage!!!
Here are the pics!
WARNING : Long, long post again.
All these pics are from the semifinals and above.. i missed the quarterfinals against la salle pj cause i arrived late. :( so anyway, here it goes.
Semis Vs SMK Taman Sea(White jersey)
Finals Vs SMK Abdul Samad(Light blue jersey)
Warming Up! Dem gaya pic. haha.
Handshake with Taman Sea before the game.
Gaya.
And so it started. I don't think i'll be posting many captions for the photos as i'm a noob in bball and don't know half of the rules or more. So erm, i'll just post the pics and type something if there's something i want to say. Haha.
Check out the height of the jump. O_O
I realised Taman Sea repeated this move many many times. Same style. Same players position. I think it's something they practiced. And yet everytime they do it, they score. :/
Our very supportive batch of supporters and subs.
I just love the jumps. I don't think I can jump half of their maximum height.
Another nice pic. Notice how much they hate Zhi Ven(captain) to score.
Lay up? Is this what u call this move? Regardless of what, it's still cool.
Angle shot.
Zhi Ven rox.
The high jump again! Argh. How jealous.
This has such a.....typical 'high school' feeling to it. Hahaha. Must be the movies.
I forgot if this shot went in eventually. haha.
Not sure again.
The final score! 42-46. Very very close, scary and exciting. The last 1 minute of the game, i can bet you the whole SSC bench was trembling.
I took this when i was lying down. It's Samad VS Catholic in the other semi. Samad won.
SSC Warming up for the Finals.
First impression of Samad.
He was hesitant to take a pic at first. But i forced him to. Our cheerful and funny captain, Zhi Ven. Scored alot for SSC.
Another warm up pic. This guy was asking me to take his pic as he realised he didn't have a single shot for the first game doing layups. Haha. so i purposely took this pic.
Handshake with Samad.
Batch of supporters.
3 secs before the 'kick off' whistle.
Another of my fav pics.
Cool pic.
I dunno what happened to this shot.
We lost kinda badly, but we know we could had won. If not for the tiredness and lack of concentration, we could perform better.
Sigh. Oh well.
The good thing is, we still managed to qualify for the next stage. Which is very good and first time in our school history!
Mr.Lopez dropped me off at a LRT station and i took it to the nearest station to my mum's office. LRT is kinda cool actually. Realised how fun it is today. Haha. As i waited in the station for my mum to pick me up..it started drizzling..then raining..then omg thunderstorm and heavy rain. I managed to take one pic as it was raining. I had a sudden urge to take a pic that time. Haha.
And i went home after that.
Congrats SSC!

Pics of SSC's Sports Day 4.3.05 !!! =)
Here are the Pics i promised. Hahaha. All the trouble. You guys better thank me man!
:) WARNING : many many pics. long long post.
A pic of the Spectators stand 15 mins before the Sports Day. Not much difference compared to 15 mins later.
Police cadets from another school. Just look at their coordination man. Worth to be applauded.
Police cadet from Seri Cahaya. HAHAHAHA!
PBSM SSC. Not like they did any medical work. All i noticed they did was everything but medical work.
And so it started. Last year champions, Blue House with their marching team! Led by Cleopatra a.k.a Koi Lin being carried and waving ever so proudly.
Their senior marchers followed suit and i just gotta post this pic. Check out their decorations man. Another thing worth to be applauded. Great effort! They deservingly won in the end as well.
Red House marchers. Comment as you may.
Followed by the Yellow House who grabbed 2nd place overall for the March Past. Check out the smokey effect around the 'angel'.
Random.
The releasing of the pigeons! Symbol of peace for the bla bla bla global unrest. With this, the Blue, Red and Yellow smoke were released. Somehow, the red smoke dominated the other 2 colours. Some sign, maybe?
Seri Cahaya's Sports Day got treated by a very good performance by the Police Cadets from the visiting school. It was almost perfect but one guy did a very small blunder.
All's still good no matter what.
The cheerleading events! Blue house at one of their early formations. Good coordination!
Another excellent formation by the Blue House cheerleaders.
Simple yet effective.
Yellow performed 2nd. Their spirit was not to be beaten by any of the other houses. Therefore with confidence, they performed their routine well and eventually won the Cheerleading Event.
Another simple yet effective formation.
The 'Winning' Throw. Another great move by the Yellow house cheerleaders. Congrats to Yellow once again.
Red house performed 3rd and emerged as the 1st Runnerups. This is one of their many stunts.
The Red house cheerleaders. Not to be underestimated.
Red house cheerleaders performing a formation which was pleasing to the eyes.
Behold. The track events. This is the 100m Boys Class 1 event. The fastest and the most anticipated event for some. Congrats to Red for grabbing the 1st and 2nd place respectively for this race and a personal congratulations to Praveen for beating his personal best time, clocking 11.98 seconds.
Girls Class 1, 100m. Also my favourite pic. Please do not get fooled by this picture. I accidentally cut off the winner who was from the Red house and made it look like Blue getting the 1st and 2nd place, which didn't happen. Red got 1st in this event, followed by 2 Blue house runners and 4th was Yellow. The winner was Chung Wei Ling who eventually emerged as the Sportswoman of the Year, just fyi.
Boys Class 2, 100m. My 2nd Fav pic. I just love how high the Yellow House runner(Chuang Kit) is from the ground. Great job in winning, Yellow!
Class 3 Boys (Junior 4-6), 100m. Well done to Yellow for clinching the Gold and Silver Medals for this event.
The Scoreboard looking as stoned as ever, showing the current results during the halftime of the Sports Day.
Class 1 Boys. 200m. Yellow may be leading after the first 100m but the 2 Reds( Praveen to the far right of the pic and Izman, the other Red) eventually caught up and clinched the Gold and Silver medals respectively. Another great great run by the Red house runners.
A random pic to show the design of the Yellow House shirt 2005. Thank you Alex for designing what a wonderful looking shirt. Hahahaha! :)
Yellow House Runners. All except the guy in the White shirt, who was the Cheerleading Captain. Kudos to him! ( and yea, i talked to him and he confirmed he's not gay, so it's ok. :) )
Yellow house 4X100 Boys Class 2 Team before their race. They won in the end if i'm not mistaken.
I just gotta post this up. The PBSM members. Who worked very hard on Sports Day to ensure its success. Hahaha. This pic is just to show my Thank You to them.
And the 4X100m events kicked off with the Class 3 Girls. Congrats, Yellow once again!
4X100m Class 3 Boys. Another great great job by the Yellow House.
4X100 Class 2 Girls. Blue deservingly clinched the Gold medal for this event. Damn i just love this event. MY fav track event of all time.
What made me love it more is this race. Gosh. How thrilling can a 4X100 race be? 4X100m Boys Class 1. I almost made a mess out of this photo as i was cheering on so hard while i try to take a perfect shot. I guess this wasn't too bad. The reason this event was so exciting was because Yellow(my house) was like about 1 feet behind the Blue house runner when the final baton pass was made. Then it was all so close and Allen, the yellow runner managed to cut Teck Eng, the Blue house president also the final runner and eventually Allen crossed the finishing line first before Teck Eng.
Where was the Red's first team? Probably already resting after finishing their race like erm, long time ago. Haha. :)
After all the events have finished, it was time for the Prize Giving Ceremony. This pic shows Rong Xuan from Yellow walking to receive his throphy after getting 1st for one of the events. I can't remember what. Probably the 400m event.
Victory is indeed golden. Man, i'm so proud to be part of the Yellow House this year. What great spirit we had. *sniff* Holding the throphy up high proudly is the Yellow House captain of 2005, Low Teck Kuan and the tall guy beside him is Haris, the vice captain.
Yellow, Champions 2005.
Woot. All the trouble to post the pics. Don't forget to thank me guys. A simple 'Thank You' would do. All the best in whatever you do!
