Hello
A very good evening to honorable G.U president, vice-president, G.Us and fellow readers
First of all, as the Yellow House president i would like to thank every Yellow Hs members especially the committee for working so hard together to make my sports day an ultimate success. Every contribution that all of you gave are very much appreciated by me and the vice-president, Tengku Haris. We thank all of you. A feast will be held to recognise your contribution.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Red House president, Praveen Mark Phillips, and the Blue House president, Low Teck Eng for giving me their fullest cooperation throughout the event. I thank them too for showing me their best attitude and most importantly, their sportsmanship towards Yellow House.
Secondly, as Low Teck Kuan i would like to urge all those who made havoc or argument to stop their nonsense immediately, regardless of the fact that you're Red, Yellow, Blue, anti-Blue or Yellow. I think that most of you has forgotten, or maybe unaware of the true purpose of Sports Day. The thing I’d observed was that most of you had taken sports day so personally and emotionally that you have lost your sense of maturity and the ability to 'THINK'
Some things and arguments that some of you made was selfish and immature. Like the marks reduction. Instead of thinking on why Ms.Ki (Head of Sports Official) made such decision to deduct marks, all you guys did was just argue for the sake of being afraid to lose the title chase, and not think from Ms.Ki’s point of view. Even if you want to question Ms.Ki’s decision, isn’t it better to ‘discuss and speak as a student’ than ‘argue like mad cows showing how immature u all are’? Don’t forget guys, the decision Ms.Ki made was also challenged by other teachers (who I don’t know why a teacher would do so) and she had to explain again and again on why she made such a decision to every teacher, or maybe in front of Pn.Marzura and Mr.Koh too! What’s worst, thanks to some marvelous immature kids, they argued with Ms.Ki on Sports Day in front of so many runners and teachers about point deduction again! So loud and clear that even En.Ariff was looking at the other side of the track. For your house captain, it is an embarrassment. For me, it’s anger. For Ms.Ki, it’s disappointment. You know who you are, and I can tell you this, the saddest thing of being a teacher is a teacher who realised that she had lost respect from her fellow students. Now you know why Ms.Ki had been so tense during lessons? I think this is one of the major contributions to Ms.Ki’s pressures and tempers.
The other incident was that some complained that Blue copy this, Yellow copy that. After investigation had been made.No one copies, it was just a coincidence. But the thing that surprise me was that some ppl made a big fuss out of this and hell i don't know how the story bout dry ice could 'pop' out of nowhere.
The other case that similarly happened in both houses is that students are accused of betraying their own house. Aiyoh, this is no war between countries man. Why such a fuss? Till students who're accused cried of deppression,
and they're your freinds who you've made few years ago!!!
The incidents that I had just mentioned was some of the mistakes made by humans during sports day. C’mon guys, I know that you’re better than this. You’re just too emotionally involved and say or do things too hurriedly. Hopefully after realising your mistakes, you will apologise to your teacher and to whoever you’d hurt during sports day. One of the true purpose of Sports Day, I believed is to create unity and bond everyone up. Stick to that, don’t make me lecture you.
I’m no Mr. Mature, I’m just a 17-to-be boy. If a boy like me could think logically on what’s wrong and what’s right, taught of the difference between being a sore loser and a good one, to smile always to whatever outcome, and to think on the bright side for every bad thing that happened, why can’t you?
I’m done nagging. If you ever want to argue with me, please be kind enough to comment on the blog instead of coming straight to me one-on-one. I thank you.
And if I’d hurt your feelings or broke your heart, I’m sorry. (think I’d hit the right spot?)
Haha well I’ll end my speech with a big :)
Thank You for reading this!
